BIMI Checker

Look up any domain's BIMI record, check the DMARC prerequisite, and validate the logo and Verified Mark Certificate - so you know whether supporting inboxes will show your brand mark. Free, no account needed.

How the BIMI check works

  1. Step 1

    Enter a domain

Type the domain you send mail from. No sign-up, no software to install.

  2. Step 2

    We read its DNS

We look up default._bimi.yourdomain, parse the record and check the DMARC prerequisite.

  3. Step 3

    See the verdict

You get the record, a logo preview, the VMC status and a Pass / Warning / Critical breakdown.

What the BIMI check looks at

The BIMI record

Whether default._bimi.yourdomain is published, its version, and the l= (logo) and a= (certificate) tags.

DMARC prerequisite

BIMI shows nothing unless DMARC is at enforcement (p=quarantine or p=reject, applied to all mail).

The logo (SVG)

We fetch the SVG over HTTPS and check it is SVG Tiny PS, script-free, has a title and is under the size limit.

Verified Mark Certificate

Gmail and Apple Mail only display a logo backed by a VMC (or a Common Mark Certificate).

When to use it

  • →Confirming BIMI is set up before you expect a logo to appear
  • →Debugging why your brand logo is not showing in Gmail or Apple Mail
  • →Checking the DMARC prerequisite is met for BIMI
  • →Validating a new logo SVG or Verified Mark Certificate

Frequently asked questions

What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is a DNS record that points to your logo so supporting inboxes can show it next to your mail. See what BIMI is.
Do I need a VMC?
For Gmail and Apple Mail, yes — they only display a logo backed by a Verified Mark (or Common Mark) Certificate. Some other providers show the logo without one.
Why is my BIMI logo not showing?
The most common reasons are DMARC not at enforcement, a missing VMC, or an SVG that is not the SVG Tiny PS profile. This check flags each of those.
