# JoltMx > JoltMx is a multi-tenant email routing, capture, and forwarding platform for custom domains. It receives inbound email over SMTP, authenticates it (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), routes each recipient by your rules, and forwards to verified destinations - with a full timeline for every message. No mail server to run, no mailbox to provision, no per-seat billing. JoltMx is for people who need inbound mail on their own domains without operating mail infrastructure: domain collectors with many side projects and parked brands, small businesses that want role addresses (hello@, support@, sales@) without buying mailboxes, agencies managing client domains, and product teams that need inbound mail without the SMTP plumbing. Plans are priced by domains, routing rules, destinations, and message volume - never per inbox. Key facts: - Receive mail on any custom domain by pointing its MX records at JoltMx. - Create exact aliases or a single domain-wide catch-all; forward to one or more verified inboxes. Exact aliases take priority over the catch-all. - SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are checked on every inbound message; forwarding uses SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme) to keep SPF aligned so mail stays out of spam. - Forwarding destinations must be verified before mail is sent to them. - Send and reply as your domain through authenticated SMTP submission (DKIM-signed automatically). - Every message has a full timeline: receipt, authentication, route matching, and delivery outcome. The raw .eml is retained as the source of truth. - Free plan available; paid plans add more domains, rules, destinations, and daily message volume. ## Guides - [Welcome to JoltMx](https://joltmx.com/guide-welcome): What JoltMx is and the three steps to start forwarding mail. - [Add and verify your domain](https://joltmx.com/guide-add-domain): Publish the MX, SPF, DKIM, and verification DNS records. - [Create your first alias](https://joltmx.com/guide-create-alias): Forward an address on your domain to an inbox you already use. - [Set up a catch-all](https://joltmx.com/guide-catch-all): Forward every address on a domain with one rule. - [How routing rules work](https://joltmx.com/guide-routing-rules): Per-recipient matching, priority order, and forward/store/reject actions. - [Send email from your alias](https://joltmx.com/guide-send-from-alias): Authenticated SMTP submission settings for any mail client. - [SPF, DKIM & DMARC explained](https://joltmx.com/guide-email-authentication): Email authentication in plain English, and why forwarding needs SRS. - [Mail isn't forwarding](https://joltmx.com/guide-troubleshooting): A step-by-step checklist for diagnosing delivery problems. ## Product - [Home](https://joltmx.com/): Overview of JoltMx email routing and forwarding. - [Features](https://joltmx.com/features): Aliases, catch-all, verified destinations, authentication checks, and delivery timelines. - [Use Cases](https://joltmx.com/use-cases): The common ways people route, forward, and send mail with JoltMx. - [How It Works](https://joltmx.com/how-it-works): The email pipeline from MX record to inbox delivery. - [Who It's For](https://joltmx.com/who-is-it-for): Who JoltMx fits - and when it isn't the right tool. - [Pricing](https://joltmx.com/pricing): Plans priced by domains and message volume, never per inbox. - [All guides](https://joltmx.com/guides): The full set of setup and troubleshooting guides. ## Company - [About](https://joltmx.com/about-us): About JoltMx. - [Contact](https://joltmx.com/contact-us): Get in touch with the team. ## Optional - [Services](https://joltmx.com/services): Services overview. - [Privacy Policy](https://joltmx.com/privacy): How JoltMx handles data. - [Terms](https://joltmx.com/terms): Terms of service. - [Sign up](https://app.joltmx.com/signup): Create a free account. - [Log in](https://app.joltmx.com/login): Access the dashboard.
